The Price Kiwanis Club would like to invite all Castle Country area youngsters who are under the age of 12 years old to come to the annual Kids Day in the Park celebration on Saturday, September 17 at 10:00 am.
“One of the big events every year is Kids Day in the Park, free kid’s day in the park for all kids 12 and under. Come on by, for you mentioned it, all the free hot dogs, and free ice cream, free sodas, games and prizes, bounce houses and all kinds of fun,” stated Kiwanis Member, Nick Tatton. This event will take place at Washington Park located at 150 East 450 North in Price.
Price Kiwanis is a children’s charity organization that helps local children in the area. “Yep, Price Kiwanis is a children’s charity, and our focus is kids 12 and under. We do somethings with some older kids, scholarships, and some of the sports teams, and things like that to help them out, but children’s charity, you bet,” said Tatton. Other items that the organization assists with is science fairs, spelling bees, hearing aids and eye glasses.
All children under the age of 12 years old, in attendance can enter the drawing for lots of prizes. “They can register for prizes, there will be a bunch of prizes, and they can register and put their name in the drawing for which prize they want to win. You know sometimes older kids want to win a bigger bike, and younger kids want to win a smaller bike, or things like that. But we will have a bunch of great prizes, and everybody can hang out, and have fun with the activities and the free food,” stated Tatton. Children must be present at the time of the drawing in order to win.
The next big event that is coming up for the club is the Sub for Santa event which takes place around the holidays. Any individuals that would like to be a part of the Kiwanis Club can learn more about the club by attending their weekly meetings on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm at the Carbon Country Club or contact any current club member.
