Our most awesome, cool, funny and dear friend and family member, Eddie Brett Horvath, the ” birdguy” and the “astronomy guy”, age 43, kicked the bucket on November 9, 2016 at his home in Price.
He was born February 15, 1973 in Price, Utah to James “Jim” Konrad and Sue Ann Shiner Horvath.
Eddie was a lifelong resident of Carbon County graduating from Carbon High School class of 1991. Eddie lived an amazing but painful life, but his health problems and constant pain rarely got him down and he was always smiling, laughing and joking around. He always said his goal in life was to make people smile and laugh no matter how he done it! If you were having a bad day, Eddie would fix that in about 2.3 seconds! Eddie done all the “crazy” things here and was an amazing animal lover and trainer. He had exotic pets his entire life and began hand raising parrots when he was only 7 years old. Eddie was an EMT in our community, a Paramedical Examiner and he also worked as a tutor for young students at Creekview Elementary for grades 1 through 4. After this he opened Diversity, our first studio for truly professional body piercings and tattoos. He was a falconer, training and hunting with different raptors from the smallest falcon, the American Kestrel, clear up to the huge and powerful Golden Eagle. Eddie done wildlife rehabilitation here for 13 years. Eddie also loved astronomy and was the host of our local astronomy club, Carbon County Star Parties. He loved attending the Wellness Center and will miss it and the friends he made there. Eddie was a very selfless person and it will not stop with his death. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his brother, James Lance Horvath, sister, Kristy Sue Horvath, both of Price; aunts and uncles, Joy Ann Hall, Taylorsville, Lee Worley, Wellington, Carlyle (Pat) Berensen, South Jordan.
Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Eddie online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
