The Price City Desert Wave Pool have changed their hours to Fall Season Hours and have many other fun activities coming up like swim lessons. Aquatic Director, Tamara Gray stopped by Castle Country Radio to talk about what the Desert Wave Pool has to offer.
“Actually, we’re loving this warm weather. You know the bubble is still off so we do have a couple more weeks of that to enjoy with this warm weather. We have started our Fall hours, so we are open on Mondays, because it is early out for school we open earlier, we’re open from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Tuesday to Friday 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturdays 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. So we have started our Fall hours but you can give us a call anytime,” stated Gray. The Desert Wave Pool goes along with the school district calendar so anytime they have a break from school the wave pool will be open.
Fall season is a great time to get your children signed up for swim lessons. “We have three sessions that run September, October, November, December. They’re twice a week either Mondays and Wednesday or Tuesdays and Thursdays depending on the level. We have the first session schedule ready so you can give us a call and we can make sure we get your child in the right level,” explained Gray. The lessons are 30 minutes sessions, and the cost is $35.00 per session. This is a great way to get your child comfortable in and around the water.
There are other activities at the Desert Wave Pool for the adults to enjoy. “We have lap swim from 5:30 am to 8:30 am in the mornings, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm so on lunch breaks and in the evenings as well. We have water aerobics on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings – mom, dad, you drop your kids off at school. We have a class that goes from 8:30 am to 9:30 am in the morning on Mondays, Wednesday, and Friday – that’s really popular,” said Gray. The water aerobics is also offered on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and the cost is $3.50 for single admission or get a 10-punch pass for $24.00.
Individuals are invited to order lunch from the concession stand anytime by calling in an order or by quickly stopping by. “I want to let you know that concessions is open. We have it open all day. We’re there from 8:00 am till 8:00 pm, you can come in, have lunch. We have some new lunch specials we’re going to be starting, that will be advertised on our Facebook page. But high schoolers, we have high schoolers come down for lunch, now that they’ve shorten their lunch, I believe it’s only a half-hour. You can call ahead, and we’ll get it cooking, and have it ready for you to come grab,” stated Gray.
