In back-to-back home contests, the 6th ranked USU Eastern women’s volleyball team welcomed the College of Southern Nevada to the BDAC Saturday afternoon.  The Lady Eagles not only swept the Coyotes but they added to their record-breaking win streak with 16 victories in a row.

Outside hitter Kennedi Knudsen was error-less in her attack against Southern Nevada with 14 kills on 19 attempts, giving her a career high .737 hitting percentage, adding 9 digs defensively.  Setter Katie Compas had in impressive 22 assists (7.33 Assists Per Set) and libero Paige Shumway picked up 15 digs on defense.

USU Eastern has only three losses on the season to two opponents, once to No. 1 Florida Southwestern and twice to No. 4 Miami Dade.  As they continue play in the toughest conference in the nation (Scenic West Athletic Conference), their win streak will once again be tested as they hit the road playing back-to-back contests against an always tough College of Southern Idaho program and No. 3 Salt Lake Community College.

No. 6 USU Eastern (19-3, 3-0) will play the College of Southern Idaho (9-10, 0-3) at 6:00 p.m on Friday, October 7 in Twin Falls, Idaho.  Then, on Saturday they will play their most competitive game so far this season as they take on No. 3 Salt Lake Community College (19-2, 3-0) at 1:00 p.m. in Taylorsville, Utah.

Eagle fans can watch the games live on the Scenic West Digital Network.
