The Desert Wave Pool is excited to be hosting their annual Spook and Swim event on October 27 through October 29 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Aquatics Director, Tamara Gray was eager to share all the event details with Castle Country Radio listeners.
“We will be having our Spook and Swim, it’ll be the 27th, 28th and 29th. We have two options; we have a soak in horror or dry as a skeleton. So if you want to get wet through the spook alley then you can pick that option, or the other option. If you don’t want to go to the spook alley and you just want to swim, you can go out to the wave pool, its going to be open for swimming, and then we have our spooky boat ride in the indoor pool,” said Gray. Its $4.00 entry fee with free pool admission and it’s the same price for either option.
Pool Officials are eager to announce that as of Monday, Oct. 31 the indoor pool will be closed until further notice to begin the renovation process. “So we’re going to be doing some painting, the pool itself will be renovated. It will be a new stainless-steel pool, it will have the panels, the gutter system will be different. But yes, it will be noticeably different,” explained Gray. This work will take some time and the employees would like to thank the public in advance for their patience.
There will still be the same activities held such as aerobics and swim lessons. “We will be posting it on our Facebook page and you can also call as well. But we’ll try to keep you updated with the schedule changes, and times. We will still have open swim, we still will run swim lessons, our water aerobics class, lap swim. We will still have all our activities they just might fluctuate with the times a little bit. So we’re still working through a few options, but give us a call and we’ll keep you posted,” said Gray. The pool will still be able to be rented out for private parties or you can host a birthday party at the wave pool.
