Eastern Utah Community Credit Union (EUCCU) would like to invite the entire community to stop by on Monday, October 31 beginning at 9:00 am for their annual Halloween Bake Sale.
“Our employees, my fellow co-workers, we’re all coming together and donating our time and energy and our money to make the baked goods, and have them ready for Monday. There’s going to be a whole variety, I just kind of told everyone who volunteered to make something, make what every you want to be eating,” said Event Representative, Paige Anderson. Some of the treats are based around Halloween, ranging from cupcakes, popcorn balls, cookies, cakes, candy and so much more – just about anything to satisfy a sweet tooth.
EUCCU is a big advocate for the United Way of Eastern Utah’s Angel Tree Program so all proceeds from the bake sale will be going towards that cause. “As far as I know, I inherited taking care of it from some other people at the position but I remember being a little kid and hearing about Eastern Utah helping out with the Angel Tree. So, we actually partner with United Way who organizes, not just our Angel Tree, but Angel Tree across the whole state at least I know in the area. Well, they’ll give a list of kids in need to us and what they would like for Christmas, and then we organize that for our members to come in and pick out an Angel and do the shopping for them,” explained Anderson. The Angel Tree will be set up in the lobby the Monday before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Anyone unable to stop in for the bake sale but would like to make a monetary donation to the Angel Tree project may do so at the credit union located at 675 East 100 North in Price, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. If you have any questions about the Bake Sale you can call EUCCU at (435) 637-2443.
