
The Spartans were back in the pool on Wednesday, this time on the road in Roosevelt to take on the Carbon Dinos and the host Union Cougars. Once again there was plenty of accolades to go around on both the boys and girls side of the pool as well as great individual performances and team work in the relays.
For the Emery boys, Tyler Frandsen earned a first place finish in the 50 free, he would also claim third in the 500 free, Alex Fredrick earned a second place spot in the 200 IM and Kade Larsen grabbed a third spot in the 200 free.
In relays it was the team Frandsen, Fredrick, Chase Huggard and Parker Jensen that earned the top spot in the 200 medley relay. Bryant Durrant, Fredrick, Huggard and Larsen finished the 200 free relay in second place, and then Durrant, Frandsen, Jensen and Larsen took third in the 400 free relay.
For the girls, Sydney Carter took first place in the 100 free, and finished in second in the 50 free. Aubrey Guymon earned a top finish in the 50 free and the 100 breast stroke, while Melody Lake went first and second in the 200 and 100 free.
Lake. Carter, Guymon and Rileigh Meccariello earned first place in the 400 free relay and Lake, Guymon Carter and Purity Mason earned a second place finish in the 200 free relay.
Emery heads back to the pool on Friday when they travel to Moab to take on Grand.
They will be back in Castle Dale on Tuesday to face Uintah, Gunnison and Carbon.
