Our loving father, son, brother, uncle and longtime friend, Bart “J” Chidester, age 47, passed away November 23, 2016 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

He was born June 12, 1969 in Price, Utah to Carl and Mary Valentine Chidester.  Married Lisa Wunderlich, later divorced.  Later married Stephanie Leyba, they divorced.

Bart was a lifelong resident of Carbon County where he attended Notre Dame Regional School and graduated from Carbon High School Class of 1987.  He was a devout member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where he was always helping with church functions, especially cooking for the funeral dinners.  Bart was an excellent cook and his specialties were his “Pizelles”. Bart loved playing board games and cards with his family and building Legos and doing 3D puzzles with his son.

Bart is survived by his parents, Carl and Mary Chidester, Helper; daughters, Carli Ann Chidester, Price, Amanda Chidester, Riverton, WY, Allison Chidester, Green River, WY; son, Gabe Chidester; brothers, Lynn Chidester, League City, TX, Mark Chidester, Memphis, TN; granddaughter, Aviana RoseMarie Miller, Green River, WY; special niece, Darcie Lynne Chidester, Helper; many loving neighbors and a community of friends.

Memorial Mass, Thursday, December 1, 2016, 10:00 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church.  Family will receive friends at the church Thursday one hour prior to services.  Committal service will be in the Mt. View Cemetery in Helper.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a favorite charity or St. Anthony Catholic Church.   Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Bart online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
