Brooklyn Palmer, USU Eastern Athletics

The USU Eastern Women’s basketball dominated in their first matchup of the season against Snow College, getting a 75-54 win.

The Lady Eagles outscored Snow College each quarter, expanding the lead as the game went on. Eastern’s defense kept Snow to shooting 33% from the field while they shot 53.1% from the field. Their defense also caused 10 steals. Baylee UeligitoneTeagan Gray, and Brinlee McRae each had 2 steals.

The Lady Eagles shared the ball well and many players contributed points in the game. Two players scored double-digits for the eagles. Hadley Humphreys had 16 points and Maci Wall scored 11 points. Baylee Ueligitone contributed 9 while Brooklyn Palmer contributed 8 points. Janel BlazzardOlivia Nielson, and Kacelyn Toomer each added 7 points. The Eagles had 20 assists on 26 made field goals. Maci Wall and Baylee Ueligitone each had 4. Teagan Gray and Brinlee McRae had 3 assists each.

USU Eastern dominated the rebounding effort, out rebounding Snow College 45-27. Brooklyn Palmer led with 10 rebounds followed by Hadley Humphreys with 9. Kacelyn Toomer and Gaby Goo each grabbed 5 boards.

The USU Eastern women’s team will travel to Redlands, California to play Community Christian College at 2:00 MST this Saturday, December 17. This game will be streamed on the Scenic West Athletic Conference network. Following this last conference game of the year, the Lady Eagles will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to finish the year at the CSN Holiday Tournament.
