The Emery Spartans traveled to Cedar City to meet the Canyon View Falcons Tuesday night in the final dual before the Christmas moratorium.

Jumping out to a quick start in the lower weight classes, the Spartans hit a dry spell in the middle classes which ultimately led to a 53-20 loss.

Monty Christiansen jumped to 120-pounds, earning a win by tech fall. Corbin Jensen earned a decision win at 113-pounds, while Hayden Christiansen gathered a victory by pin at 132. Having to forfeit at multiple classes, the lost points became too much for the Spartans to overcome.

The Spartans will now pause until January 4 when they return to the mat at home against North Sevier. Only three home meets remain on the schedule as the season reaches its final two months.
