Mark J. Chidester, age 57, passed away December 23, 2022 at his home.

He was born April 30, 1965 in Price, Utah to Carl John and Mary Michael Valentine Chidester.  Mark was a longtime resident of Carbon County who graduated from Notre Dame Regional School, Carbon High School and the College of Eastern Utah.  Mark loved wood working, drawing and cooking.  He also enjoyed spending time going on adventures in the mountains for hikes and drives with his buddy, Tommy Hriber.  Everyone enjoyed Mark’s cooking, especially his baked beans and ribs.  Mark will be dearly missed by his loving family and many longtime friends.

Mark leaves behind his loving mother, Mary Chidester; in-laws, H.O. and K Sweeney; brother, Lynn J. Chidester; lifelong partner in crime, Butch Salamanikas; and his loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Chidester, brother, Bart J. Chidester; beloved wife, Angela Dawn Sweeney; and best friend and loving companion, Heather Wright.

Memorial Mass, Thursday, December 29, 2022, 10:00 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Committal service, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are welcome to share memories of Mark online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
