The Lady Spartans got back to work on Friday when they welcomed the Pine View Panthers to the Spartan Center. It was the first time the Spartans had played in 10 days, and Emery didn’t show any signs of rust as they took the 47- 33 win.
The Spartans started slow in the first quarter putting up just five points and allowing Pine View to take a five point lead 10-5. Quarter two turned out to be huge for Emery putting up 18 and holding the Panthers to just six, taking the 23-16 lead into the locker room at the half.
The third was a hotly contested quarter with both teams going back-and-forth as Emery would outscore Pine View by one in the quarter and pushing the lead to 34-26.
In the fourth, the Spartans kept the momentum in their favor putting up 13 in the final quarter while holding Pine View to just seven, holding on for the 47-33 win.
