The Dino wrestling squad got back to it after the holiday moratorium on the road in Monroe to face the South Sevier Rams, unfortunately Carbon would come up just short falling 36-33.

Carbon did hit the mats during the holiday break, participating in the Braveheart Duals at Ben Lomond High School in Ogden the end of December. In the matches with South Sevier, the Dinos were able to grab seven wins but it still was just short of the points needed to earn the victory.

Trevor Jones earned a win by decision in the 120 pound weight class. At 126, Rawzyn Allred took the win by pin over his opponent. Brax Tapia at 132, claimed a victory by major decision. Parker Holt at 138, Isaac Robinson at 150, and Preston Martinez at 157 all were victorious in their matches by pin, and Jonathan Jewkes won by forfeit.

Up next is a two-day match in Vernal starting Friday, the Tournament of Champions, where 30 teams from Utah, Colorado and Wyoming will be competing.
