The Carbon Dinos began Region 12 play on the road on Wednesday night when they were in Moab to face the Grand Red Devils. After losing five in a row headed into the break, the Dinos have come back earning back-to-back wins and were looking to go three in a row in Moab. The Dinos blew the game open in the third taking the 72-59 win.

Maybe the break was a good thing for the Dinos who had taken a long break away from the court for the holidays, but when they came back on January 4, all they have done since then is win games.

On Wednesday night in Moab, the Dinos came out keeping pace with the Red Devils in the first half, heading into the locker room Grand held a slim 31-29 lead.

The third quarter of the contest could have been the best third quarter that the Dinos have played all season, Carbon came out and put up 31, holding Grand to just 16 and for the most part putting the game away as they moved through the fourth and taking the region win.

Cole Cripps was everything for the Dinos scoring 20 to lead all scorers in the contest. Brax Stevenson put up 17 and Zeke Wilson and Ashton Ferguson each added 10 in the victory.

Next up for the Dinos is a rare Saturday game against region foe Canyon View. With it being a Saturday game there will be an early start at 5 p.m..
