The Dino swim team was on the road in Castle Dale joining Emery, Juan Diego, and Summit Academy for what in essence was the final local meet. The Lady Dinos were able to earn a second place finish and the boys took third on their side of the pool.

The Spartans took first place on both sides of the pool. For the girls, Carbon took second, Juan Diego third, and Summit Academy fourth.

Ada Bradford came up with a first place finish in the 500 free turning in a time of 6:35.83. Mia Crompton also grabbed a first place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:41.84.  Other Dinos with top finishes were Evie Halk with a second place in the 200 free and Lily Thayn with a third place finish in the 200 IM. Alyssa Chamberlain, earned a second place finish in the 500 free, and Hadley Bower with a second place finish in the 100 free.

In relays for the Lady Dinos, the team of Bower, Bradford, Chamberlain, and Crompton earned a first place finish in the 400 relay with a time of 4:26.91. In the 200 medley relay, the team of Bradford, Chamberlain, Crompton, and Kanyon Christensen took third. Another third place finish came in the 200 free relay from the team of Bower, Halk, Lindsie Fausett, and Ember Lyman.

For the boys, it was Emery on top as well, followed by Juan Diego and Carbon in third.

Gabe Ibanez earned the top spot in the 100 backstroke turning in a time of 1:03.06, and also a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke. In the 500 free, Mason Engar turned in a time of 5:52.79 earning him a first place finish as well. Leland Kespel finished the 100 backstroke in second place and Spencer Tullis had a third place finish in the 200 free.

In relays, the team of Nathan Engar, Cameron Jones, Tullis, and Ibanez earned a first place finish in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:39.01. Boyd Bradford, Mason Engar, Nathan Engar, and Ibanez swam to a second place finish in the 200 medley relay.

The Dinos are back in the pool for the Cedar City Invitational on Friday and Saturday, January 13, and 14.
