The Emery Spartan wrestling team honored their seniors on Tuesday night during the final home meet of the season, against South Sevier. The Spartans earned victories in 10 of the 14 matches sealing the win 58-24.

The wrestling season is slowly coming to a close with just a handful of duals and tournaments left before the divisional tournament in February, which will be followed by the season-ending state tournament.

Ten Spartans were victorious in their matches leading to the big Emery win starting with Monty Christiansen at 106 who won his match by pin. Christiansen was also invited to the All-Star Duals as one of the top wrestlers in the state falling in his match with Breyton Banks, of Salem Hills.

Other winners were Corbin Jensen, Derrick Birch, Merrit Meccariello, Hayden Christiansen, Damon Farley, Dalton Birch, Hazen Maeecariello, Greg Suwyn, and Easton Thornley.

Up next for the Spartans is a trip to Enterprise to take part in a two-day tournament.
