Jay V. Draper, O.S. B., age 83, passed away December 5, 2016 at his home.
He was born October 28, 1933 in Wellington, Utah to Verdis and Rose Bettino Draper. Married Rexine Martin on January 27, 1951 in Santa Clara, New Mexico and they had five children.
Jay worked at Horse Canyon coal mine for almost 32 years and was a proud member of the United Mine Workers of America District # 22. He served as a member of Marriage Encounter and that was very important to him. Jay loved his dogs, hunting elk, and camping out with family. But most of all, he loved sitting around and “shooting the bull” with his friends. His sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by his parents, sister Grace Davis; and nephew, Matt Draper.
