The USU Eastern Lady Eagle basketball team finished off their regular season with a 22-8 overall record which included a 14-4 mark in conference play, and they closed out the season with a three game win streak. The ladies will start the conference tournament on Thursday, when they face Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) in Twin Falls, Idaho, on the campus of the Region 18 champs the College of Southern Idaho (CSI).

CSI finished the regular season 27-2 earning them the top spot in conference as well as the No. 4 ranking nationally. USU Eastern landed the No. 2 seed in the tournament followed by SLCC and Snow College in fourth.

The Lady Eagles will meet up with SLCC at 5 p.m. on Thursday, in the three meetings this season USU Eastern went 2-1, with the only loss coming in their final meeting on February 18 on the road 68-57.

A win would mean the Lady Eagles will move into the Championship Game at  6 p.m. on Friday against the winner of the CSI/Snow College game.

The game will be broadcast on KOAL 107.3 FM or 750 AM starting with the Landon’s Diesel Service Pre-game Show at 4:30 and the tip-off will follow at 5.
