The Carbon and Emery girl’s golf teams were on the road Wednesday to face Region 12 competition at the Moab Golf Course. All squads faced cold, windy and rainy conditions and at the end of the day it was Richfield taking the top spot for the second week in a row, Carbon landed in second and Emery just a few strokes off the pace in third.

The Wildcats lead the field with 367, the Lady Dinos posted a 409, Emery landed in third with 426. Canyon View finished in fourth and host team Grand ended in fifth.

Carley West turned in the top score for the Dinos with a 97,  Grace Simms carded a 103, the other members of the top four for Carbon were Savanna Rasmussen with 104 and Paige Scovill had a 105.

For the Spartans it was Kimber Gilbert with a 96. Claire Lindsey was right behind with a 107, Cheyenne Bingham had a 109 and Payton Wakefield round out the Lady Spartans top four with a 114.

You will need to wait a while longer to see these teams at home, as Emery will host Region 12 at Millsite on April 20, and Carbon’s region meet will be held at the Carbon Country Club the following week on April 27.

Next week the region will shift to the Cove View Golf Course, the home of the Richfield Wildcats.
