Shellie Ann  Johnson  passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023,  due to renal failure at the ICU  in Utah Valley Hospital,  she was 57.  She was born on August 2, 1965 in Price, Utah to Carvel “Cobb” and Bonnie Johnson. She completed her education at Notre Dame, Carbon High and CEU.

Shellie worked at and owned The Hair Hut for over 30 years. She employed  many stylists and nail techs through the years.

Shellie married her forever partner David R. Johnson on September 14, 1992.  From this union Morgan Renae  Johnson was born on February 26, 1997.

Shellie enjoyed weekends in Mesquite, playing golf and watching golf on TV.  She loved to watch Morgan dance at different competitions through the years, loved when all of Morgan’s friends would be at the house  and she pretended to be a mother to all of them.

Survived by her loving husband, David; their daughter, Morgan (Rick), Lincoln, NB; mother, Bonnie, Price; brother, Joey (Lori) Moab; sister, Judy, Upland Park, Kansas; many relatives, cousins, many friends and clients who have countless memories of Shellie.

Preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; her dad “Cobb”; sisters-in-law, Connie Wood and Sally Buttars.

The family would like to thank the home health nurses from CNS, the ER staff at Castle View, the Air Med Helicopter crew and ICU nurses and doctors at Utah Valley Hospital for giving her comfort in her final hours. Thank you to the nurses and staff at Davita Dialysis  both here in Price and Provo, Utah.

Per Shellie’s wish there will be no service at this time.  There will be a family and friends’ reunion later this summer. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome daily and share memories at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.

Donations to the Utah Kidney Foundation or a local pet shelter would be her choice of charity.
