The Castle Country Pregnancy Resource Center is hosting a Walk for Life on Saturday, June 24 and the entire community is invited to participate in this walk. Event Representative, Monica Lambert stopped by Castle Country Radio to share all the details.

Early bird registration ends on June 3 so if you want to get some special incentives you’ll want to register early. “But registration is $15.00 a person. Early registration, when you register, we also get your t-shirt size. We have these amazing t-shirts and you’ll be able to pick them up at the walk. If you register after June 3, we will order your t-shirts and you’ll be able to pick them up in a couple of weeks, we’ll contact you and have a pick up readily available. You can also register at the walk, we’ll have registration forms there,” said Lambert. Not only will early registration get a t-shirt but the first 50 registrations will also get a gift certificate for signing up early.

The walk will begin at the south entrance of the Price City Walkway. “But it’s a nice safe walk from Carbon Avenue, down to the bridge and back, so it’s a short walk. Registration is at 8:00 am, the walk starts at 8:30 am, so everything should be over by 10:00 am so you’ll have the rest of your Saturday and you’re able to participate in great thing also,” said Lambert. This is about a two-mile walk, a one-mile walk each way.

There will be participation prizes awarded to the top three. “We are also encouraging teams to sign up, teams of eight. If you’re a family or you got some friends and you want to sign up as a team, the top prize for the team that raises the most money is going to be two nights, this Fall, at the Wilson Country Living Airbnb. So that’s a great top prize,” said Lambert. The Castle Country Pregnancy Resource Center appreciates all the prizes that were donated towards the walk.

The Castle Country Pregnancy Resource Center has created this event to help raise awareness of the value of human life and the need of support and compassion for unplanned pregnancies, young parents, single parents, grieving parents, those facing challenges in pregnancy, and other options such as adoption while raising money for the continued operation of the organization.
