fabled-folks

It’s time once again for another session of Culture Connection Summer Concert Series on Thursday, June 22 at 7:00 pm at the Price City Peace Gardens with the group called The Fabled Folks. Program Coordinator, Ted Hinckley took time to speak over the telephone with Castle Country Radio to share all the concert details.

“The Fabled Folks, I think they came with the Excellence in the Community Show a couple of years ago. They’re really a fun group, they definitely play Celtic instruments and have a Celtic flair, but they’re also young people so they migrate towards popular stuff in a Celtic folksy way,” stated Hinckley. This four-member band will feature acoustic music highly influenced by bluegrass and folk. But hardly strictly either.

“They feature Grace Monson who for sure is one of the best fiddlers in Utah and their stuff is a lot of fun. You’re going to recognize what they’re playing but it’s going to have a different flair, than what you’re maybe, however, you’re used to hearing that song,” said Hinckley. This group has a lot of musical experience and are sure to be very entertaining.

The outdoor summer concerts are a great way to unwind from the hustle and bustle of a busy work week. Spectators are reminded to bring their lawn chairs and blankets as they find a spot to sit and enjoy the band. Remember to invite family members, friends and neighbors out for an entertaining evening at the Price City Peace Garden on Main Street.

The next band scheduled to perform for Culture Connection on Thursday, June 29, will feature the group Rustic Poets which are a country genre. To see this year’s concert schedule, visit Price City’s website at http://www.priceutah.net/
