The Carbon High Christmas events held this month by members of Student Council along with lots of help from the community raised an astonishing $22,648.30 to help children and families in the community who otherwise may not have Christmas.

The various events that were held during the month of December to help raise the funds ranged from the Odd Job Program, where students went around the community to do odd jobs for citizens that would than donate to the cause.

Student Council also worked with area businesses like A&W/KFC, by profiting from root beer float sales one evening; Wingers Restaurant allowed the students to help take orders, serve and buss tables another evening; Taco Time donated sales on one night, as well as King Koal Theatre offering family friendly Christmas movies too. Students also did caroling in front of Walmart a few nights and the biggest event was Stuff the Bus on a Saturday when donations of cash, toys and non-perishable food items packed the bus.

The amount of money that was raised is sure to help many children and families in the Carbon County area.
