Summer is coming to an end and school is starting up soon at USU Eastern. They are currently offering open registration for the Fall Semester 2023 till September 1. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Academic Advisor, Tilar Cisneros to get all the details.

Although Fall Semester registration started in April there is still time to sign up for courses at USU Eastern. “It started back in April and it is open registration until September 1, so you still have time to get applied and get registered for classes,” said Cisneros. If interested in attending USU Eastern you are urged to get your Admission Application filled out as soon as possible.

“So once you get your application in you’ll get your “A” number and that is your golden ticket to everything else that you need to complete before school starts. Once you get your “A” number you’ll need to complete orientation modules one and two. Module one is basically everything you need to know about campus to be successful, and module two, is everything you need to know about registration. You still can make an appointment with your Academic Advisor to see what classes you need to take and we can also help you register if you need that extra little bit to register for classes,” said Cisneros. There is a great course that potential students can sign up for to make the transition to university-level education easier. “The University Connections Class is the first three days before the semester so the 23rd through the 25th, it runs from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This class is awesome, it’s a two-credit class, and it really helps our students transition into college academics. You’ll get a mentor inside the class, and a peer mentor that you can use throughout your tenure at USU Eastern. It’s just a really great class to take advantage of,” explained Cisneros.
