Emery golf made the trip to Mount Pleasant, the home of host team North Sanpete on Tuesday to compete in the second match of the young season. Navigating the course along with the rest of Region 12, Emery posted a 334 to land them in fifth place.

Richfield earned the top spot once again this week with a 301, following close behind in second was Juab, with a 302. Carbon  shot a 318 for third, Delta landed in fourth with a 333 and Emery was one stroke back with a 334.

Dempsey Toomer shot an 81 to lead the Spartans, Joey Leonard and Champ Justice both carded an 84 and Turner Stoker shot an 85. Kage Van Wagoner had a 90 and Kade Larsen a 97.

Emery will be back on the road next week when they will travel to Manti on Tuesday. The following week they will travel to Delta to close out the first month of the season. The Spartans will host the region at Millsite on September 14.
