
Coming off last week’s win over South Sevier, the Lady Spartans were looking for another win, and their first chance came on Tuesday night in Duchesne against the Eagles. Emery took the win in three straight sets, moving them to 2-0 on the young season.
Emery ended last season with an overall record of 17-14 and 6-2 in region play.
In the contest with Duchesne, the Spartans came out firing, taking the first set 25-15. Set number two was more of the same with Emery taking that win in commanding fashion, 25-14. The third and final set Emery took the win 25-16.
The Lady Spartans have just four games left until the end of the month, they will be back home on August 22 to take on Delta. Then the 25-26 they head to Nephi for the Juab Tournament where they will face the same Duchesne team once again, then back on the road for Manti on August 29 and then they will end the month at home to face Juab on August 31.
The contest with Delta will take place Tuesday at the Spartan Center. Game time is set for 6:30
