On Thursday afternoon, the Lady Spartan soccer team welcomed in the Richfield Wildcats. Emery has had it’s struggles this season trying to find that first win. Richfield came in and took care of business earning the 3-0 victory.

Emery went into the game against the Wildcats sitting in the No. 17 spot in the initial RPI, the Wildcats held the fourth spot.

Richfield came out and struck in the opening half finding the back of the net once , and carried a 1-0- score into halftime. In the second half the Wildcats would put it between the pipes two more times and take the 3-0 win.

The Spartans sit at 0-8 on the season overall and hold a 0-6 record in Region 12 play. If they could put together some wins in conference play, they could move up in the rankings, since six teams in the region landed in the top 10 of the RPI.

Up next for the Spartans in a trip to Price to face the No.5 Carbon Dinos. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m..
