Our loving father, husband, grandfather and friend Robert Eugene Hales, age 48, passed away September 22, 2023.

He was born October 18, 1974 in Price, Utah to Delbert and Barbara Averett Hales.

If you asked Robert (Hales Bells) what he was most known for, it would be for bringing rap to Price, Utah. He loved music, but wasn’t the best singer. He was also the leader and founder of the South Side Posse (SSP). Growing up Robert enjoyed fighting with his brothers so much, he eventually got into boxing. Although he was skinny and rocked a mullet, Robert could pack a punch. Later in life, Robert shifted his priorities from fighting, to taking care of his wife and children.

Robert’s second love was his work. He had a strong work ethic and showed it through his dedicated career of 23 years at Savage Coal Services. Robert’s passion and obsession was sports. In his free time, Robert was always seen rocking a sports jersey and hat. He was often a champion of at least one of his many Fantasy Football leagues and rarely missed watching a Raiders football game. On game day you could expect to be greeted with smoked meet, a beer, and a Raiders jersey. The only thing he wasn’t good at was Dr. Mario. Robert was a fighter until the end and passed away peacefully after his courageous battle with cancer. He will be truly missed by all.

Survived by his loving wife, Melissa Hales, Price; children, Kristina Yamaguchi (Charlie Adams), Cleveland, Ohio, Larissa (Nick) Bradford, Orem, Raven Hales (Elliot) Bailey), Price; father, Delbert (Karen) Hales, Helper; brothers, Rick Tatman, Helper, Jerry (Kerrie) Barker, Price, Earl (Stephanie) Hales, Green River; grandchildren, Pheonix and Kruz Bradford; many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.
