
Carbon runners along with runners from around the region descended upon Moab for the Red Rock Invitational. This was the final race of the regular season with regional, divisional and state meets coming up. The Lady Dinos grabbed a second place finish while the boys finished the meet in third.
Host team Grand was the top finisher on the girls side, followed by the Dinos. Whitehorse, Monticello and San Juan rounded out the top five.
Rozlyn Stowe grabbed another first place finish for the Lady Dinos turning in a time of 18.56.9, Sophie Taylor, Ellie Hanson, Ada Bradford, and Alexa Jones claimed the top five spots for Carbon.
North Sevier earned the top spot in the boy’s varsity division, followed by San Juan. Carbon, Grand, and Monticello made up the top five.
Easton Humes was the top Dino turning in a second place finish with a time of 17:23.1, seconds behind Edward Lyman of San Juan and his time of 17:14.0. Evan Criddle, Dallin Humes, Matthew Stromness, and Michael Weber rounded out the finishing top five for Carbon.
On October 4, Carbon will welcome the region to Price for the Region 12 Championships.
Races will be at the Carbon Country Club and are set to start at 3:30.
