Region 12 got a sneak peek at Meadowbrook, the home of the State Championships, on Wednesday. The Carbon quartet shot a 314, and Emery a 324 as the Richfield Wildcats took the match shooting a 304.

Richfield was just two strokes ahead of Juab who turned in a team score of 306. Delta was in third with a 307 Carbon and Emery rounded out the top five.

Carbon’s Kyler Clark carded the low round for the Dinos with his season best score of 74. Dayton King shot a 79, with Jack Hedin shooting an 80 and Rydge Butler an 81.

Joey Leonard led the charge for the Spartans with his season low 76. Turner Stoker followed with a 79, Alex Hansen scored an 80 with Dempsey Toomer and Kade Larsen both turning in an 89.

Richfield was leading all season long until the match at Canyon View two weeks ago when Juab took a three stroke lead, and after the match at Meadowbrook the Wasps still hold a slim one shot lead going into next week at Richfield. The Dinos are comfortably in third with an 81 shot lead over fourth place Delta, who is 75 strokes ahead of fifth place Emery.

Just one region meet left this season as next week on October 4,  teams will take on the Cove View course, home of the Richfield Wildcats. After that the State Tournament will take place on October 11 & 12 at Meadowbrook in Taylorsville.
