The Delta Rabbits came to Price on Thursday to take on the Lady Dinos. With just a couple weeks left in the regular season, and with the RPI now in place every game counts. Delta pushed Carbon handing them a straight set loss 3-0.

Every set was highly contested as was expected, with no team wanting to give in.  The first set was a battle as Delta came out swinging taking it by a score of 26-24.  The second set had a little bit of space but not too much as Delta would claim the victory in it 25-20.

In the third and final set The Rabbits and the Dinos went back-and-forth and neither side gave an inch, at the end though the Rabbits earned the 25-22 win handing the Lady Dinos just their third loss of the season.

Carbon now sits at 13-3 overall and 8-2 in region play. The loss to Delta also drops them out of the No. 1 spot in the RPI to No. 3, with six matches left.

With matches on the slate against No. 4 Canyon View and No. 2 Emery, they should be able to solidify their spot in the final RPI that will be released on October 21 along with the bracket for the 3A State Championships, that begin three days later at home sites.

The Dinos are back on the court on Tuesday when they travel to Cedar City to face the Canyon View Falcons. That will be the only match until next Saturday when they travel to Richfield for the Sevier Valley tournament.
