On October 21, 2023 our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a true angel on earth left us, Helen Shirley Winder. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 25, 1936 to Earl and Daisy Wade and was the sixth of ten children.

While living in Springfield, Missouri she met the love of her life, David Winder whom she married on October 21,1958 and were later sealed in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple in Manti, Utah. They spent 65 wonderful years together and raised three children, Randy, Darren, and Kevin.

She was an avid reader, lover of old sci-fi movies, the Utah Jazz, and anything that had hooves, paws, or fur. She was especially fond of dogs, cats, and horses and had the ability to make any animal fall in love with her in just a few calm words and loving pets. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and often volunteered at the Family History Center.

She is survived by her loving husband, David; children, Randy (Annette), Darren (Dusti), and Kevin; sisters, Nettie and Virginia; her close friend, Kathy; and numerous grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Daisy; brothers, Neal and Earl Jr.; sisters, Corrinn, Laverne, Jackie, Carolyn, and Donna; daughter, Shawn; and grandson, Isaiah.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Parkdale Health & Rehab and to Dr. Sterling Potter for taking such exceptional care of their beloved Helen.

We got you Mama.
