The fall sports season is over and the winter season is about to get underway. Football, volleyball, golf, and soccer will give way to basketball, swimming, and wrestling.
The Spartan swim squad will get things started on Wednesday when they will welcome Richfield and Carbon to the Emery Aquatic Center. The Region 12 tournament will take place at Canyon View on February 2 and the State Swim meet will take place at BYU on February 16 & 17.
Girl’s basketball will be up next getting things going when they welcome Juan Diego to the Spartan Center on Nov. 14. We get our initial look at the RPI on December 18. They will face the Dinos for the first time on Jan. 11 in Price and will welcome them to Castle Dale on Feb. 6. The final RPI and bracket reveal for the State Tournament will be released on Feb 10, with the first games starting Feb. 13.
Boy’s basketball starts up a week later on Nov. 21 when they will travel to Providence Hall. The first home game will take place on Nov. 29 when they welcome South Summit to town. The initial RPI will be released on Dec. 18. On January 12, the Spartans will make the trip to Price to face the Dinos and Carbon comes to the Spartan Center on Feb. 7. The final RPI and State Tournament bracket come out on Feb. 10 with the first round starting on Feb.14.
Wrestling will return to the mats on Nov. 28 when they welcome in Manti. They will face Delta on the road on Nov. 30. The Dinos come to Castle Dale on Jan. 18. Emery will host the Divisional Tournament on Feb. 2 & 3, and the State Tournament will be on Feb. 16 & 17 at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.
