The Lady Dinos were back on the road on Tuesday when they traveled to face Maple Mountain. Despite a big fourth quarter, Carbon was unable to come from behind, falling 67-60.

Both teams came out in the first quarter and played to an even tie 13 -13. In the second quarter, Maple Mountain started to put some separation between them and the Dinos outscoring them 26-13 and going into the locker room up 39-26.

In the second half, Carbon came out in the third once again scoring 13, but gave up 17 to Maple Mountain who would push their lead to 56-39 as they headed into the final quarter.

In the fourth, Carbon found their offense as they attempted to cut in the Maple Mountain lead, putting up 21, they also turned up the defensive intensity holding them to just 11. The deficit was too much to overcome however as the Lady Dinos fell 67-60, dropping to 0-2 this season.

Madi Orth led the way for Carbon with 22 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Kylan Sorenson added 15 with six boards, And Amiah Timothy had 13 with four assists and six steals.

The Lady Dinos will be back on the court on Tuesday night, this time for the home opener when they will take on the Union Cougars, who are sitting at 0-3.

Game time is set for 7 p.m..
