Ryker Butler’s awkward shot as time expired in regulation brought the Dinos even last night in Moab as Carbon took on Grand. The Dinos would go on to outscored the Red Devils in the overtime period to take the 68-64 win.

Coming off of back-to-back losses the Dinos were hoping to turn things around during the road trip to Moab. Grand entered the game with Carbon sitting at 2-3 coming off back-to-back losses as well.

The game was as advertised when things got rolling, both teams on paper seemed fairly even and it played out that way. Carbon put up 14 in the first quarter out scoring the Red Devils by three. In the second, both teams played even as each would go on to score 17 a piece, with the Dinos still holding that three point advantage as they headed to halftime, 31-28.

Grand would come out in the third, putting up 20 in the quarter and defensively turned it up holding the Dinos to 13 and taking a 48-44 lead going into the fourth. With time running out and Carbon down by two, 57-55, Butler would put up a three that missed the mark but, getting his own rebound put up a shot from behind the backboard that found it’s way home as the buzzer sounded, tying the game at 55 and sending the contest into overtime.

In the overtime period the Dinos took control scoring 11 to take the 68-64 win.

Zeke Wilson led the way for Carbon with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Butler scored 13 grabbing eight boards, Kahner Raby had 12 with 13 rebounds, and Carter Warburton put up nine while dishing out seven assists in the win.
