Emery wrestling was back on the mats at home Thursday as they faced Canyon View. Coming off a decent showing over the weekend at the Juab tournament, the Spartans had a rough time of it putting wins together and dropped the match 47-29.

The Spartans have had an up and down early season and are trying to find a way to get on track.

Monty Christiansen, at 120 was one of five Spartans who were able to earn a victory. Dixon Peacock at 126 had an impressive win by technical fall defeating Jack Pace of Canyon View 18-3. Ryan Collard at 132, won his match over Brody Leavitt by fall.

Tayden Allred, at 150 pounds won his match over Bret Berstrom by fall, and Easton Thornley, at 285 earned a win by fall over Luke Langston.

This weekend, the Spartans will be at the Christmas Clash, at Real Salt Lake Academy.
