The Community Cares Neighbors Helping Neighbors Annual Christmas Dinner will take place on Christmas Day from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This free event will be held inside the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center on the campus of USU-Eastern. Castle Country Radio sat down with Event Coordinator, Brenda Deeter to discuss all the details.

This is the ninth year that this gathering has brought individuals and families together on Christmas for a free community dinner. “You know people don’t want to be alone, we have a lot of the same people from the first year that look forward to this all year long. When people come to this dinner, they get seated at their table by volunteers, they get served at their table, their table gets cleaned up, they get their drinks, everything is served to them, they clean their table up. Ask them what kind of pie they want; they serve their pie. They just have to come in and sit down and enjoy their meal and enjoy the company that they’re with,” stated Deeter. There will be live musical entertainment to enjoy throughout the dinner. If you have musical talent and would like to come to entertain the guests during dinner, please contact Deeter. There will also be a shuttle service available to and from the event if you do not have transportation. This event is to make sure that no one is alone on Christmas day while getting a nutritious meal.
