“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.”  Dana Lynne Curtis Ryan Pizzuto, was born on June 21, 1944 and  returned home to her Heavenly Father on January 3, 2024.  She was the only girl in a family of four children.  She was born at the Carbon County Hospital to George Louis and Marjorie Jewkes Curtis.  Dana grew up in Price, Utah and graduated from Carbon High School in 1962.

Dana married her love, Mick Ryan, in March of 1964 and together they had a beautiful daughter, Wendy Lynn Ryan.  Dana’s career took her many places to live and she retired as an engineer in the telecommunications industry, originally starting with Mountain Bell in Price.  She made the best of her life away from her parents and siblings. Building a beautiful home, and caring and loving the numerous plants that she had a passion for.  She had many close friends, but she did not hesitate to run back and forth to her home, here in Price, when she thought anyone could use her help or support.  Being home was her happy place.

Dana inspired many with her vast knowledge of her profession. But her testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was powerful; blessing the lives of those she served through her many church callings. She always had a burning desire to teach others her knowledge and she inspired us to be better than we are. She held a deep concern for everyone in her life, and never forgot a birthday or occasion.  Dana would drop everything to come to any family dinner or event.

Dana has overcome many challenges in her life, from a heart attack, cancer, and losing her only child.  She overcame every challenge with dignity and a fun-loving spirit.  Family and friends miss Dana already, and they always will.  She was loved by the hearts she touched and will never be forgotten.

Survived by her brother, Mitch (Debbie) Curtis, Price; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, whom she loved very much, and they loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marjorie Curtis; brothers, Kim and Craig Curtis; daughter, Wendy Lynn Ryan; former husbands, Mick Ryan of Heber City, and David Kolby of Salt Lake City.

A life greatly lived deserves to be celebrated.
