
The Lady Dinos were back on court on Thursday night, on the road in Richfield to face the Wildcats. Coming off a hard-fought one-point win at Juab on December 28, Carbon was back on the road earning a lopsided 62-37 win.
The Lady Dinos are a perfect 4-0 in Region 12 play with the win over the Wildcats, as they head into the second half of the season.
Both teams played very close in the first quarter, with Carbon closing out the quarter with a 16-13 lead. The second quarter was where the Dinos started their separation, putting up 17 and using their defensive skills to hold the Wildcats to just six points as Carbon entered the locker room up 33-19.
Carbon came out in the third and it was almost a copy of the second as they continued to pour it on scoring 18 and giving up eight to the Wildcats, the Lady Dinos would let up a little but the contest was never in doubt in the final eight minutes as they closed out Richfield to take the 62-37 victory.
Madi Orth led the Dinos with 19 points five steals, a rebound, and one assist. Jacie Jensen added 17 with five boards, three steals, and a pair of assists, and Amiah Timothy had 13 points, six assists, four rebounds, and three steals in the win for the Dinos.
Carbon has a 9-4 overall record and sits in the No. 3 spot in the RPI.
They will get back on the court on Tuesday when they will welcome Manti (5-7, No. 12) to Price.
