The Dino soccer squad got back on the field on Thursday against the North Sanpete Hawks, in a region match-up to kick off the season.  Carbon opened up with three quick goals in the first half adding one more in the second to take the 4-1 win.

Last season, the Dinos ended with a 9-4 overall record going 6-2 in Region 12 play and earning the No. 5 spot ending the season in the quarterfinals with a loss to Morgan.

Carbon jumped out in the first half, holding North Sanpete scoreless, putting three goals on the scoreboard, and taking a 3-0 lead at halftime.

In the second half, both teams would find the back of the net once, as the Dinos would hold on for the 4-1 win.

Tyler Morris found the back of the net twice for the Dinos, Logan McEvoy added two more with an assist. Drake Chappell, and Luke Brady each added an assist as well.

The Dinos will be back on the pitch on Wednesday as they travel to Juab to face the Wasps.

They come back home on Friday as they welcome the Delta Rabbits. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m..
