
The Dino boy’s volleyball team has been looking for their first win since the season started back on March 7. On Tuesday they traveled to face Wasatch Academy and earned a hard-fought 3-1 victory.
Carbon is coming off of a tough weekend when they participated in the Thunder Jamboree playing six games in two days. with the win over Wasatch Academy, the Dinos move to 1-8 this season.
In the opening set, both teams went back and forth with each other in a hard-fought battle that the Dinos would claim with the 25-23 win. In the second set, the Tigers came back taking the 25-18 win.
Set three was all about Carbon as they took the 25-18 win and then turned around and took set four 25-21 earning the 3-1 victory.
Jack Hedin collected 10 kills in the win, and Charles Tima added eight. Alexis Bueno had five service aces and Carter Warburton added four, Bueno would also earn seven assists and Evan Lancaster had 12, and 10 digs while Eric Holt added five.
Carbon will be back on the floor Thursday when the Grantsville Cowboys come to town.
