Emery High School seniors Luke Justice and Wade Stilson earned 3A All-State basketball selections for the 2023-24 season following a vote from coaches in the classification. Fellow senior Zack Tuttle received an Honorable Mention.

Justice earned a 3A All-State First Team selection after leading the Spartans in scoring. Averaging 17 per tilt, Justice scored a season-high 26 points on two occasions.

Held under double digits in only one game this season, Justice’s key moment came in a monumental win over Manti on Jan. 31. With the game tied in the closing seconds, Justice hit the go-ahead basket to give Emery a thrilling 59-57 win.

A year after earning a First Team selection, senior Wade Stilson was tabbed as a member of the All-State Second team.

The most polished all-around player in the classification, Stilson led the Spartans in rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks per game.

Stilson’s versatility was on display throughout the season as he played all five positions at various times. His senior campaign ended with averages of 9.3 points, 9.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 3.4 steals and 2.1 blocks per game.

Tuttle received the Honorable Mention after leading the Spartans in field goal percentage for the season as he posted nine points per game.

A consistent threat on both sides of the floor for the Spartans, Tuttle shot 55-percent from the field during his senior season. Reaching double-figures 21 times as a senior, Tuttle poured in a career-high 25 points in the final game of the year against Manti.

Emery wrapped up the season with a record of 20-7, including a 10-4 mark in Region 12 play. The Spartans entered the state tournament as the No. 2 seed, falling to the eventual state champion Judge Memorial Bulldogs in the quarterfinals.
