Carbon High School seniors Amiah Timothy and Madi Orth were both given All-State honors for their production during the 2023-2024 basketball season.  The Deseret News All-State teams are based on coaches’ votes from a list of nominated players.

The Lady Dinos closed out the season in the third and fourth place game falling to the overall No. 1 seed Grantsville. Carbon ended with an overall record of 19-8 and a 12-2 Region 12 mark falling in second behind the 3A State Champion Richfield Wildcats.

Timothy earned first-team honors for her efforts on the court.  Averaging 18.4 points per game (ppg), 5.1 rebounds per game (rpg), and 5.3 assists per game (apg). She also excelled on the soccer field for the Dinos in 2023.

Orth earned a second-team nod after averaging 13.9 ppg., 6.6 rpg., four steals per game, and 49 blocks throughout the season. Orth also earned a first-team spot for volleyball in the fall.

Grantsville’s Baylee Lowder was named the 3A Player of the year.
