The Meadow Brook Golf Course played host to the Region 12 championship Monday afternoon as Carbon, Emery and the other six competing schools wrapped up the 2024 regular season.

The Richfield Wildcats finished off an unbeaten region campaign as the team gathered a first-place finish with a score of 326. Juab ended in a distant second with a 361, followed by Manti, Delta, and Carbon. Emery, North Sanpete, and Canyon View rounded out the field of eight, respectively.

Carley West paced the Carbon Dinos as she shot an 88, the lowest individual mark on the team. Grace Simms finished second on the squad with a 102, followed by Kaylynn Black’s 107. Leah Sweeney gave Carbon its fourth score with a 130.

As a team Carbon solidified fourth place with a final score of 427, 11 strokes back of Delta and seven ahead of sixth place Emery.

Cheyenne Bingham fired a 97 to lead the Lady Spartans in the regular season finale. Brandee Larcival helped push Emery into sixth place with a 105. Claire Lindsey and Reagan Jackson both shot a 116, rounding out the team’s score of 434.

The regular season finale sets the stage for the upcoming 3A state championship tournament, which is set for May 8 and 9.
