In what has shaped up to be a busy week for the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce, another local business celebrated its ribbon cutting on Wednesday, June 12. The business this go around was Mama D’s Food Shop, a kitchen dedicated to helping the local community with meal solutions, ranging from ready-to-eat meals made for pickup, refrigerator/freezer meals, party meal planning and everything in between.

Daphne Stockdale, owner and operator of Mama D’s Food Shop spoke at the ribbon cutting saying,” Our mission is to nourish the mind and body and we accomplish that by doing a few different things. A couple times a month we do meal pickups, all you have to do is pull up to the curb and we’ll bring the meals out to you.”

Stockdale also explained,” We also do things like rice balls and salads so you can have lunch for the week if you’d like. We also do family meals so you can order for different sizes and amounts of people.”

Upcoming pickup meal dates for Mama D’s include Friday, June 21, where they will be doing Chinese food. And then another on Monday, June 24, where the kitchen will be serving up wraps.
