Price City’s annual International Days celebration is right around the corner, creating excitement all around the Carbon Corridor for July 24, 25, 26 and 27 when the yearly festivity gets kicked off.
Castle Country Radio sat down with Megan Marshall, an event coordinator with Price City to talk about all things International Days 2024.
Opening things up, Marshall spoke on the goal of this rendition of International Days,” You know, we’ve been doing this event for over 40 years now, and we’re trying to get back to its original roots and celebrating that cultural diversity and making it feel like International Days.”
“ It’s an opportunity for businesses and organizations to come together for vendors, to sell their wares and entertainers to get their name out.” Marshall continued to speak on the importance of the community for this event,” So being for the community, we want to listen to the community. So we always welcome any feedback about these events to see how we can improve.”
One standout event that Marshall spoke about was the Grand Parade on Saturday, July 27 starting at 10 a.m. on Price Main Street. “ You want to register for that pretty soon too, because that’s Free to enter. And it just allows other businesses and organizations to have a really good time, put a float together, and come be in a grand parade.”
If you are interested in registering for this or other events you can sign up on Price City’s Website here.
Another highlight of International Days is the live entertainment options, which this year is packed to the brim with exciting and unique options. “ You’re going to see a lot of entertainment that you haven’t been able to see around here before, but also mixed in with a lot of our local favorites,” said Marshall.
Marshall also took the time to thank the sponsors who helped put together this event,” Price City, of course, is the primary sponsor. You know, they’re, they’re supplying a good majority of the funds for the staff to make this happen. Everybody looks forward to it, but we do still need additional help.” Marshall continued, speaking on the organizations who helped put together the showstopping drone show,” So Intermountain Electronics is the primary sponsor for the drone show and Price Auto Group is contributing as well and Price City, all three of them going in on it to make this huge spectacular show.”
“With the plethora of activities and entertainment that’s going on, keep listening here to Castle Country Radio for all the updates and we’ll see you next week,” Marshall stated, ending our conversation.
