
Anthony “Tony” Leonard Falsone, Jr., age 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Price on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Tony was born on November 6, 1951 in Price, Utah to Anthony “Tony” and Mary Carmella Marretta Falsone.
Tony attended and graduated from Carbon High School with the class of 1970. Following high school, he joined the Army National Guard. After serving for a time, Tony returned back to the area and settled in Helper, Utah where he drove truck for Western Coal. While living in Helper, he married Elayna Marinoni on June 8, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two of them later moved to Price, Utah where they resided up until Tony’s passing.
Tony was a member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, a member of the American Legion, and a proud member of the United Mine Workers of America Local #6788. He enjoyed going camping and fishing with his family and his Sturgis runs with his good friends. He loved his special dogs that he had over the years and always treated them as family. Tony enjoyed gardening and watching all different types of western movies ranging from, “Gettysburg” to “Ma & Pa Kettle” to the John Wayne classics. However, most of all Tony was a “BIG FAN” of the Pittsburg Steelers. This was his favorite football team and he loved to watch all their games throughout the season.
Survived by his wife, Elayna Falsone, Price, Utah; sisters, Charlene (Danny) Lewis, Helper, Utah and Teresa Allred, Price, Utah; step-children, Amy (Nick) Tompkins, Hannibal, MO., DeAnna (Scott) Archibeque, Murray, Utah, Daniel Joseph Merced Valdez (Mona Marquez), West Jordan, Utah, and Candace M. Thompson, Price, Utah; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Anthony “Tony” and Mary Carmella Marretta Falsone.
Vigil Service, Thursday, August 15, 2024, 7:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Funeral Mass, Friday, August 16, 2024, 10:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church (210 North Carbon Avenue) in Price. The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. prior the service at the church. Committal Service will follow in the Price City Cemetery.
