013-17

Coming off their loss to Millard to open the season, The Lady Spartan soccer squad got to play their first game in front of the home crowd when they welcomed the South Summit Wildcats to Castle Dale. Emery fought back in the second half but the Wildcats came back and took a 5-4 win.

South Summit came out in the first half putting four goals on the board while the Lady Spartans countered with a pair of goals going into the half down 4-2.

Coming out in the second half Emery was on the offensive putting up two goals of their own, but the Wildcats would find the back of the net once more to take the 5-4 win, handing Emery their second loss of the young season.

The Lady Spartans will need a short memory as they head back to the pitch on Thursday to face the Canyon View Falcons in Castle Dale in a Region 12 tilt. Last season in the two meetings with the Falcons, Emery came up short falling in both.

Game time is set for 4:00 p.m..
