Glenda Ludeen Prettyman Lehman Hansen has left this earthly home. She went peacefully and was curious for the next adventure awaiting her. She lived her life as such, that she really had no regrets.
She was born September 6, 1938 to loving parents, Josephus Prettyman and Martha Alice Dieter in Price, Utah. She was the eighth child out of nine children: Rachel, Jay, Gordon, Dolly, Ray, Derald, Ronald, and Helen, who have all preceded her in death. She was the last one of her siblings. She also lost her loving husband, Earl Hansen; her oldest daughter, Sandra Johnson; and her youngest son, Ralph Lehman, Jr., along with her son-in-law, Terry Hansen; granddaughter, Terri Moss; and grandson, T.J. Hansen.
She married Ralph Lehman in 1955. Within this union, she had these five amazing children: Sandra (Brent) Johnson, Mike Lehman, Larry (Peggy) Lehman, Nadene (Scott) Davis, and Ralph Lehman, Jr. They later divorced.
On February 13, 1982 she married Earl Hansen. They were sealed in the Manti Temple on July 16, 1998. Earl’s four amazing children were then added to her growing family: Leslie (Terry), Kevin (Kathy), Kerry (Denise), and David. Two more of the most amazing children would later be added: Mariela and Mike Oman, who joined the family circle of now eleven children – four daughters and seven sons, 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Her family meant everything to her. She was a glorious mother who always illuminated the path to a better tomorrow with her never-ending love and strength. She taught with gentle guidance, always sharing lessons learned from her own life experiences. Anytime spent with family and friends brought her true happiness. She loved to quilt, and everyone of the kids and grandkids has something that she had made for them. She also enjoyed playing dominoes, especially with her grandchildren. She cherished family reunions and was the one who always kept us together. She loved the view from her front porch, sitting with Earl, where they could watch the deer and hummingbirds. When they weren’t enjoying their beautiful view and yard, Glenda and Earl would snowbird together in Arizona. She had a love for the outdoors, camping, and working in her yard. Her other greatest joy was gardening, canning, and sharing the fruits of her labor. She worked hard to supply her family with an abundance of food storage. Her wisdom, preparedness, and protective nature will comfort her family even after she is gone.
Glenda was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was the family genealogy expert and spent countless hours and days gathering all our family names, history, and pictures; carefully organizing them in books. We can’t thank her enough for her hard work and love that she poured into this legacy.
Her presence in our lives brought immeasurable joy, love, and laughter and for that, we are forever grateful. She took great pride in a meaningful life well lived. We are proud to call her Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Wife, Daughter, Aunt, Cousin, Neighbor, and Friend. To know her is to love her.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Tiana, and the extended staff at Symbii Home Health & Hospice, for the compassion they showed during these trying days.
