Green River baseball is struggling to find its first win of the season. With losses against Bryce Valley and Valley, the Pirates welcomed Panguitch to town on Monday. The Bobcats held the Pirates scoreless taking the win in five innings 15-0.

The Bobcats methodically scored in every inning except for the third and then used a big nine-run fifth inning to put the game away. Defensively they used two pitchers in the game that combined for a four-hit win.

Antonio Macias, Cristian Venzor, Rolando Anguiano, and Gabriel Quintana each logged one hit in the contest.

On the mound, the Pirates used three pitchers with Jason Hernandez getting the start and going three innings giving up three hits, three runs, and striking out one. Cristian Mendoza went one with three hits and three earned, and Anguiano finished the game putting in one inning of work and surrendered seven hits with nine runs, eight earned, and struck out one.

Green River gets back on the field Wednesday when they travel to Price to face the Pinnacle Panthers. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m..
